PSPO (Public Spaces Protection Order) for London Road Consultation
28th December 2023
SDC's Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) for London Road has advanced to its next stage, the public consultation, having been agreed by SDC Cabinet on 14 December.
The consultation phase is scheduled to commence on December 28th. It is imperative that we disseminate this information to all our residents (on Dec 28th), ensuring widespread awareness to maximize the community's participation in the consultation process.
Here is SDC's message:
SDC Health and Communities Dept has been working with Met Police, Kent Police and Bromley Council in regards to the car meets and vehicle nuisance.
For a PSPO under guidance of the ASB Act 2014 the PSPO has to be done in 2 stages by the local authority committee process. The first step is to see whether it is agreed that this goes out for consultation was completed at Cabinet on 14 Dec.
The consultation will run for 4 weeks from 28 Dec to 25 Jan. See the below wording (when live) and link from Thursday 28 December (the consultation will not be live before then)

Both Badgers Mount Parish Council & Halstead Parish Councils have already been contacted by SDC.
We'd like your help in getting this across to the community so that we can get a big response to this as a lot of hard work has been done by the residents, Councils and Police to get this far.
